Its tourist activity begins to gain strength in the 1960s, founded on the bases of a fishing port that remains the heart of the island. Located to the Northeast of Mallorca, Cala Ratjada is a town in the Spanish municipality of Capdepera, and today one of the most popular destinations in the region.
Its history was born as the most important fishing port in the area, to later become a great historical-cultural attraction. Even so, the old port maintains its traditional character with numerous fishing boats that coincide with large vessels.
Cala Ratjada is the closest point between Mallorca and Menorca, from where a unique charm can be seen in which the tradition of old structures such as the Capdepera lighthouse and the March Palace, next to the novelty of hotels and restaurants that offer unmatched experiences in a natural environment of beautiful coves.
